We will be holding our AGM followed by the first committee meeting for 2022 on Monday 11th of April at 6:30pm. Due to COVID this year’s meeting will be different. We will have 2 hubs set up for those who would like to attend in person, one in the PAC at Campania District School, and the other at the Campania Tavern and Bistro. There is also an option of joining via Zoom from the comfort of your own home. For those choosing to attend at school there is a requirement to be fully COVID vaccinated and wearing a mask (unless you have an exemption). For those choosing to attend at the bistro, you will need to follow the venue COVID protocols and there is the option of purchasing a meal.
The Zoom meeting ID is: 62570632645
Nomination forms are available from the school office.
COVID
I would like to thank our school community again for your support and understanding with the changes we have made to follow the Department of Education COVID Safety Plan. This has meant all staff need to be fully COVID vaccinated, mask wearing is compulsory for staff and secondary students (unless they have a medical exemption), increased ventilation around the school and a greater focus on outdoor learning. I have really appreciated the vigilance shown by all with the following of public health guidelines for staying home if you have any cold and flu symptoms and notifying the school if your child is a close contact or COVID positive. While we have had some COVID positive staff and students, we aren’t as impacted as some other schools.
We are having COVID vaccination clinics for 5–11-year-old students over the next month. I need to stress that only those students who return the signed consent forms will be vaccinated. Those under 16 without signed permission forms can never be vaccinated. I know that there is sometimes misinformation on social media around vaccination. Please contact the school if you need clarification.
Reports
Families with students from Prep to Year 10 will have reports coming home shortly. This will give you a clear indication of how they have started the year at Campania. If you would like to discuss your child’s report further with their teachers, please contact the office and this will be arranged.
Roof progress
Our roof replacement is making great progress. Thank you to Frank Hill roofing.

Year 8 Team Building Excursion
During Week 7, the Year 8 class participated in a day of team building at Dodges Ferry and Seven Mile Beach. Students ate hot chips together and engaged in a range of activities, including: fishing, swimming, surfing, sandcastle building, feeding the birds and played on the huge equipment at the playground. While the weather was a bit windy, that did not dampen the spirits and resilience of the Grade 8s. It was great for them to spend quality time together and get to know their CORE teachers, Miss Cep and Miss Pearson. Thank you Dale for driving the bus and monitoring those brave enough to swim and surf.
Our 7/8 Outdoor Education students have enjoyed a few sessions of Surfing lessons at Clifton Beach this term.
Everyone is thoroughly enjoying using our new amazing courts! There have already been many games of tennis, hockey and basketball enjoyed. We are very lucky to have this wonderful new space.
