We are rapidly approaching the end of Term 2. While we have needed to work within the constraints of the COVID guidelines, we have successfully managed to keep the numbers of staff and students with COVID relatively low.
Public Health has advised that from Monday 27 June 2022, face masks are no longer mandatory in schools and Child and Family Learning Centres. This is because of reduced COVID-19 cases in our community.
It’s important to continue to:
- stay at home if unwell, and get tested
- practise COVID-safe behaviours such as frequent handwashing and sanitising
- be up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
Students, staff and visitors are supported to continue to wear face masks if they choose to. Face masks are still available at the front office if you need them.
When face masks are required
If you’re a close contact, you are still required to wear a face mask indoors as per current Public Health advice.
From time-to-time our school might identify activities or situations where masks are required to be worn. We ask for your support when this happens and know that it is in the best interests of our students, staff and our school.
Our staff will continue to wear masks when working closely with students who are vulnerable to COVID-19.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly to discuss.

Reports for students from Prep to Year 10 have recently gone home with students. If you did not receive your child’s report, please contact the school office and we can either post it home or provide it to you directly. We are in the process of organising times for families to communicate with teachers around learning and wellbeing. I know some families have already spoken with teachers over the phone or in person. If you haven’t made a time to speak with your child’s teachers, please contact the school office. Conversations can be in person, over the phone, via email or in some instances, via Class Dojo.
We continue to plan for our 2023 enrolments. I encourage families to contact the school to arrange a tour and a chat with myself. I love the chance to share with you all that we are doing here. A tour, at a time that works for families is a great way to see the school as it is. We will be looking to finalise enrolments for Year 7 prior to the end of Term 3. Kinder enrolments will continue to be taken across the rest of the school year. Our LiL program is a great introduction to the school and runs on a Thursday morning in our Performing Arts space. Pre-Kinder will commence in Term 4.
Finally, I would like to thank Sophie Polanowski for her work as a Health and Physical Education teacher while Jac Parker was on maternity leave. Sophie did a wonderful job and was highly regarded by students and staff. I would like to welcome Jac Parker back to Campania. She is a valued member of our excellent staff and school community.
Learn to Swim program 2022
Written by Kacey Lewis
The 3/4 and 5/6 classes have been participating in the learn to swim program for schools. The students were put into groups on the first day, Tuesday 14th of June.
The program lasts 2 weeks, and ends on Friday 24th of June.
Each group did different activities depending on their skill set and knowledge of the water. These activities varied from each of the four groups. Completing these activities allowed the students to understand the dangers of the water.
On Wednesday 22nd of June the students had a clothes on day. They were required to wear cotton clothing for the duration of the session. The students were taught survival skills and marked based on their knowledge of water survival.
Both classes are glad the two long weeks are over, and they can finally rest. Thank you Clarence Pool and your wonderful swim instructors.
Grade 10 Visit To Sorell School
Our Grade 10 students had the opportunity to visit Sorell School on Wednesday to see the facilities and learn about the 11/12 courses on offer. It was great to get an intro to construction and electrotechnology, animal care and hospitality. It was also lovely to see some of our past students doing so well at Sorell. Thanks Sorell School!
Our school photo day will be held on Tuesday 5th July.
