We have had a productive end to Term 2.
This can often be a challenging time with students busy completing work across all subjects and teachers finalising student reports while maintaining their normal teaching load.
I would like to thank everyone for their commitment to our school values of Respect, Resilience and Learning during this period. Teaching and support staff have provided a great deal of support to help students make good decisions in relation to learning and building and maintaining respectful relationships .
Reports went home with students yesterday (Thursday 1st July). Please take the time to read through the report with your child, celebrate successes and consider how we can all work together to support learning for Terms 3 and 4. We are holding parent teacher interviews on Tuesday 27th of July from 3:30pm -6:30pm. We will provide more information to families at the beginning of Term 3.
We recently held a Diversity Group Cupcake Stall. Members of the Diversity Group along with Ms Cep baked a batch of delicious cupcakes which students were able to buy at lunch time. Thankyou to all of those students and families who supported the stall. It was a huge success. Our Diversity Group meets once a week on a Tuesday at recess time.
The Department of Education celebrates diversity among our students, knowing that diversity deepens learning for everyone. This means we welcome and embrace everyone regardless of their race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or social economic status. More information about Diversity in Tasmanian schools can be found at this link.

COVID Safe-Checking In at School
From the 5th of July all people 16 and older (not including our students) will be required to check in when they enter any school building. This is a requirement for all schools in Tasmania. We have a QR code that can be used at the front office. If you don’t have a smart phone you can check in using our Visitor Register which is also at the front office. The need to check in even applies if you are just here for a minute or two.
Enrolments 2022
If you know of any families considering an enrolment at Campania could you please encourage them to contact the school ASAP. Priority always goes to local in-area families, families who already have children at the school and to students from Richmond Primary School (for Year 7). Out-of-area enrolments are considered based on our capacity. Our aim is to have maximum class sizes of 25 students.
School Holidays
I wish all students a safe and enjoyable Term 2 holidays.
Term 2 finishes on Friday 2nd of July and students return to school on Tuesday 20th July.
Monday the 19th of July is a student free/staff professional learning day. Our focus for the day will be on further enhancing our approaches to Positive Behaviour Support with Ian Luscombe presenting a session with staff around Behavability.
If you would like to learn about this please follow this link https://www.behaveability.com.au/ian-alison/
To continue supporting our parent and carer community over this holiday period, Martin Heppell has created a short clip about the importance of sleep.
To view the clip please Click Here.
We encourage you to view the clip so that students come back to school well rested and ready to learn!
For more information on sleep & device management please click through to “Reclaiming control of your electronic devices”
Have a safe break.

The cupcakes were a hit! Well done to the Diversity Group and thank you to everyone for supporting and purchasing a cupcake.
As a part of our Positive Behaviour Program, we hold a Rewards Day each term.
We identify students who are consistently respectful to staff and peers, respectful to our environment, who show resilience and use strategies to regulate their emotions, and who try their best in all subject areas.
Congratulations to Mrs Parker and her family on the arrival of little Herbert! The Campania school community send our love.
